As you enter the house you come into a large, open pammented hall with access to all downstairs areas and an attractive old staircase to the first floor. A cloakroom leads off the hall.
The comfortably furnished large sitting room, with separate reading area, is perfect for enjoying the peace and quiet of rural Suffolk. The afternoon and early evening sunlight streams into the room giving a very contented feel. And later in the evening, it’s just the place to gather and enjoy family celebrations together. There’s a large collection of books and games to keep you entertained.
There is also a comfortable living room with TV and lots of room to play - ideal family living space. On chilly evenings, light the large open log fire, draw the blinds and settle down to a cosy family time.
In the spacious dining room a magnificent oak table seats 12 and is just right for more formal meals, perhaps a special celebration or just a long lingering meal with some good food and wines. Many visitors have enjoyed anniversary and birthday meals here, and the room looks lovely at Christmas. Let us know if you’d like names of local outside caterers so you can enjoy your special meal without all the preparation. And how about some Adnams wines to go with it?
The kitchen is typical farmhouse, made for casual breakfasts and relaxed family times throughout the day, spacious and heavily beamed. Next door is an old-fashioned cold larder and another door leads to the large utility room.
Off the kitchen a second staircase leads to the upper floors.
